Week 5 Student Blogging Challenge – Food Waste

Would you like to reduce food waste?

Here’s what you can do with old food scraps:

  • Make a soup out of left over vegetables.
  • Compost your food scraps and use it as a soil fertiliser.
  • Freeze left overs so you can zap it and eat it again.
  • When you shop just stick to necessities not extras that you end up throwing it away.
  • Have it for lunch the next day.
  • If you have a pet you could give them perfectly not touched vegetables that haven’t been eaten but not scraps.
  • Feed scraps to chickens.

Do you want to embrace your inner chef?

You could try and make a delicious, define, marvellous new food creation from your food scraps.

Try disposing food scraps by:

– putting them in a compost bin
– feeding them to a worm farm
– feed them to chickens

What is gross ugly food?

There is no such thing as ugly and gross food, if it looks a bit abnormal it is actually the most delicious stage because when it is oddly sized and shaped it has more juice and taste, so next time you think eww this isn’t good enough to eat think again.

Remote Learning SBC WK 10

Did it inspire you?

Yes, it inspired me looking at other peoples blogs and noticing what widgets and code and their learning and experiences with the blog. Most of the blogs I visited had different widgets like search bars, pets, games and globes and their blogs were very colourful and they all looked amazing.

Most of the posts I saw were about themselves and the designs were different to what have and theirs looked really cool. Include the links to any blogs you think are worthy of others visiting and why you chose them.

200 Word Writing Challenge

It was a cold night on Christmas Eve, fireplace going, hot chocolate in hands and watching a Christmas movie. Taylor and her mum were watching ‘elf’ when a heavy fall of snow came rushing down the mountain. They watched in horror and all of a sudden it stopped. They looked at each other in shock. ” We have to go,” said Taylor’s mum. “Please it’s not safe!” exclaimed Taylor. They packed up their stuff and car and drove to a desert city however they didn’t have much time since it was Christmas the next day.

They arrived at Taylor’s Aunt’s house. They told stories and laughed all night. They had to go to bed and the next day they woke up to Christmas wonderland. Taylor walked over to the tree and saw presents galore. She walked to the table filled with Christmas pudding, candy canes, roast turkey, cookies and milk. They opened their presents and laughed. Taylor got the best present… A lego theme park. She squealed in excitement. They sat down and ate lunch and talked all afternoon now that they ate then they went to bed so Taylor said something to her mum… “Thanks mum this was the best Christmas ever,” said Taylor. They gave each other a huge hug.
